Your TennisConnect powered web site has features that allow your players to search for other players, establish and email buddy lists, create and join networks, and keep track of their past and future tennis events with you.

Players also have access to the Find-A-(Game, Facility, Program, Demo Tennis Racquet, Tennis Retailer).... searches that are based on the same software and database used by major national web sites such as Tennis.com and TennisChannel.com

The Community Settings controls allow you to set how "public" versus how "private" you want these features of your web site to be for your players.  Basic Settings | TennisConnect Basics | Option # 8 - Registration Settings

Type of Facility:  Choosing Public will allow your players to search the national database for other players who have made themselves search-able.  Choosing Private will restrict the search functions to members of your web site only.  NOTE:  Regardless of your choice here, players must be register and logged in to use this feature, and players can only search for and "see" other players who have made themselves searchable.  For more information see the article on Player Registration Settings (and privacy using Find-a-Game).

Most Private clubs choose Private, most Parks, CTA's, Retailers, etc choose Public.

Find-a-Program: Allows you to control if your web site can be used to search the national database of "open to the public" tennis events.

Most commercial facilities choose to restrict searching to their own programming, however many also allow the public search option.  The rationale for the public search is that it is a service to players who are vacationing or making travel plans and they're going to search anyhow - so why not provide it through your own web site instead of another site.  Most Parks, CTA's, Retailers, etc choose the Public option.  Sample Public Search

Find-a-Pro: Allows you to control if your web site can be used to search the national database of Tennis Pro's.  The only Tennis Pro's in the database are TennisConnect administrators with a role of Tennis Pro.

Most commercial facilities restrict access to just their Tennis Pro's.  Sample Public Search

Find a Retailer: Allows you to control / direct results from the Find-A-Retailer search on your web site to either display results (from the national database) or automatically links your web site visitor to your Pro Shop page or the Pro Shop / Retailer of your choice.  Sample Public Search
