There are times you might not want to show a page in the system generated menus.

This may be a page that is "under construction" and not ready for release yet, a seasonal (out of season) page that you want to save for use again next year, or it may be a "sub" page that you do not want on the main menus and are going to provide a link on another page.

When you hide a page you are simply removing it from the system generated menus.  The page is still available if you know the correct URL (as you would as an administrator)

To hide a page go to the the Web Site Builder on the Horizontal Navigation Bar.  In your page list you will notice several columns, including a "toggle" for VISIBLE / hide or HIDDEN / show.

If a page is VISIBLE, click on Hide to hide it.  If a page is HIDDEN, click on Show to show it:

NOTE:  See the effect of your changes by clicking GO TO CONSUMER SITE.

You can use Hide / Show to effectively "nest" child pages asnd keep your main menu options from growing too long.

For example, let's say you have a lot of photo's and you want to arrange a Photo Gallery with a page for camps, socials, tournaments, etc....  You can make one "parent" page and make is visible, and then on that page provide htyperlinks to the other photo gallery pages.  See the example.
